There is a large shipping crate in this playground site causing major safety issues. The crater has loose and partially secured nails stinking out from it. The lid from this crate is not secure. Children are using this crate as a climbing structure instead of the playground equipment that is rendered useless by the fence around it.

Parks Operations has advised that they are aware of the crate issue and the contractor has until Friday to remove it.
The fence is up around the playground equipment to ensure safety. Construction is not complete on the playground and until it passes all safety inspections, the fence will remain in place.
