You, or a representative of this property and our Wellsville Maintenance Station supervisor have talked about this bridge over the gutter before. He removed several pieces of concrete that were blocking the gutter underneath this driveway bridge. Because the bridge is not a required part of the gutter, the private landowner is responsible for the bridge and its maintenance, and the maintenance of water underneath it. UDOT is responsible only for the actual maintenance of the gutter structure, itself. The Wellsville Maintenance Station has been informed of this issue-- the supervisor said he would visit the area again. But in discussing this with him, he said he has done all that UDOT is required to do in cases such as this.
