This is a known problem location with tree roots growing through the catch basin. It has been cleaned twice in the last year, most recently in August, and at the present time is functioning adequately.
Ummm, sorry for my confusing comment. The picture is accurate, and the drain is definitely clogged, and has been for more than a year. It's on Dixwell, at the corner with Foote, on the side of the intersection toward Webster.
As there is no CB infront of 149 Dixwell, this complaint was taken to refer to the one opposite 139 Dixwell in front of the church, which frequently does give trouble. The location has been checked today, and it appears the silt sack was left in place by one of the utility companies, and it is now full and causing a back-up. This issue has been referred to Public Works, which is the department responsible for keeping grating clear. The problem will be dealt with shortly.
This is still a problem. All we need is for a worker to come lift up the grate, pull out the cloth, and put the grate back in place. Don't need McVac or anything dramatic. Strongly considering doing this myself.
A request was sent to Public Works on 10/30/13. It takes 2 people to remove a silt sack from a CB due to the weight of the silt that accumluates in it, and it also needs to be transported away for disposal at a landfill.
We are closing this request due to its historic nature. If this concern still requires attention and you still believe SeeClickFix is a viable tool for its resolution the best way for it to be addressed is for you to create a new request including a current description of what is occurring and what solution you hope to see regarding this matter, citing/linking this request in the details.
