Sewer crew checked out this manhole. It appears to belong to the phone company. It was hard to tell, the cover has asphalt obscuring the markings. You will want to contact the phone company as we do not have any jurisdiction over this manhole. Thank you.

This is not a satisfactory response. Public works is responsible for the city's streets, not the phone company. And I shouldn't have to contact them once I've referred it to you. If you can't fix it, you should demand that the phone company do so on behalf of the city's residents. Please make this right.

I totally agree with rapid! Approvals these sunken manhole covers that are all over the city should get fixed! Many are worse then potholes and the city is responsible for the streets and ensuring residents have good, safe streets (which fyi... My partner had hit one of these sunken manholes during winter and it caused an accident which totaled our car!!!!)
