The inspector gave the homeowner the courtesy of the weekend for one last opportunity to correct violations. Inspector followed up today, violations still exist and inspector will be submitting case for abatement proceedings today. These proceedings sometimes take some time as they require an assessment be approved by the City Council for the cost of abating the problem. Once the case is started, however, the inspector continues to follow up until the City's contractor abates the problem and a lien is placed on the property for payment.
