The picture submitted is a Google street view image from 2011, which is misleading. To be fair BDs DID repaint the back of their store, and the building next door was cleaned up as well. I walk Cherry Street to work every day. Now, I did notice this morning a new tag on the back of BDs and they will be informed. As for other addresses along Cherry, yes, there have been fines issued and the battle against graffiti continues.

I am leaving this issue open for ISD so that they do revisit and issue additional fines.

Sorry, but I thought we were still talking about the properties referenced in the initial photo...BDs et al. Would you like to provide me with an address for the photo you submitted this morning? As I mentioned previously, City inspectors are aware of and engaged in the constant battle with Cherry Street graffiti, but if you could pinpoint the address of the building in the photo, that would be helpful.

Unfortunately there is no exact address that I can give you since the building's main entrance is on Broadway, which is why I gave an approximate Cherry Street Address of 115-199 Cherry St. Part seems to belong to BDs and the rest seems to be part of the apartment building.

It is the upper portion of the backside of BDs on Broadway. Way over a year and no update, looks really bad from chestnut street.

I learned today that due to the ongoing problem, and lots of the graffiti being on 2nd or 3rd stories, the City is going to undertake the removal of the graffiti on buildings backing up onto Cherry Street. As soon as waivers are signed by and received from the building owners, work will commence (weather permitting).

Oh, and yes, fines had been issued several times.
