The encampment continues to grow and now occupies Caltrans property as well as the entire sidewalk on west side of Castro. How much longer do we have to tolerate this blatantly illegal activity?

Why is Oakland allowing this illegal activity? Do the laws not apply to the homeless ? This is outrageous and right next to a home. Other cities are addressing the homeless issue, what are the city leaders of Oakland doing? I have no sympathy for people who go around trashing neighborhoods just because they don't want to live with rules. They live off the rest of us. Find a huge lot where they can camp, give them washrooms. Take away the grocery carts that are illegal to have and their tents.

I can't believe that this goes on and on and on. Every time they are cleared out, they come right back. Why won't Oakalnd or Caltrans SOLVE this problem?
