I am confused as to why this issue was closed. The dead tree is still there as of yesterday afternoon (4/30), and is still dropping very large branches. People and dogs walk through that area daily to get to the dog park, and the tree appears as if it could keel over at any moment or drop a branch on someone's head. I'm certain the tree is 100% dead as well - there is not a single leaf anywhere on it, and there's definitely a potential for someone to get hurt.

Have to say I still smile when I walk by the spot where this tree stood. The tree was eventually marked for cutting, but in a glorious twist of fate, fell over before that could happen. Glad no one was hurt, and equally glad the tree has gone on to a better place (hopefully as mulch) 😜
