Description
There are RV’s located on Bellevue Avenue and need to be removed. The owner of the RV's are using extension cords (safety hazard), tapping into the City's electricity. The extension cords have been removed by City Staff; which is a temporary solution, which they will reconnect. This typically creates very expensive repairs in the future any help with the relocation of the RV’s will be very helpful in keeping the electrical infrastructure up and running. Attached are pictures of the RV's license plates and of the person tapping into the electricity.

Oakland City Council unanimously voted to approve the Encampment Management Policy, meant to “protect and serve all Oaklanders, sheltered and unsheltered, and to manage the adverse impacts of homeless camps by balancing the interests of all residents (i.e. unhoused, housed, business community).” In fact, this policy was intended to reinforce laws that are already in existence in Oakland, but that are not being enforced by the city.
