This is on Castro Street between 5th and 6th under the 880 overpass. There is a homeless encampment with garbage from the encampment extending into the street causing a traffic hazard and forcing motorists to have to make an emergency lane change when turning left from 5th to Castro. The encampment was broken up by police at least one month ago only to have them return a day if not two days later. A lot of the trash is hazardous and in some cases unsanitary. I'm not against homeless individuals but I am against them creating unsafe situations in the street and taking up a city sidewalk as their residence.
