Thank you for this feedback. The City is conducting a loading zone survey with area businesses. If there is a location in particular where a loading zone should be considered, please provide that feedback here.

The three highlighted sections are an illegal parking bonanza when they should be designated loading zones for actual deliveries.

The angle on 1st st, the highlighted section on the left, should get a curb extension that forces the cars to come at Newark closer to a 90 degree angle. Right now it’s a pseudo slip lane that is incredibly dangerous when crossing west to east.

If the city put real protection along the crosswalk this could “create” legal space for loading zones. Currently it’s just planters that delivery trucks move (particularly the one for Just BeClaws) so they can drive onto the pedestrian only area.

This intersection needs a loading zone almost as badly as Jersey City government vehicles need to follow the law.

Pedestrians need protection stat.
