Vehicles creating a hazard or illegally parked should be reported directly to the police by calling 208-296-3311 or 911 if it is an emergency. The police have the authority to tow vehicles immediately and/or issue traffic citations and the City does not.

I’m asking you to paint the curb cut yellow and post a “no parking” sign. The owner of these trucks clearly needs stronger indicators about where they can and cannot park. Please advise as to your plans to clearly mark the no parking zone.

This has been forwarded to the City Traffic Engineer for review as they review requests for no parking signage. Once a determination has been made a response will be posted here. You can also contact Public Works at 206-801-2400 and reference service request 43341 for any updates.

Thanks for letting us know about this – we will install “No Parking” signs along the south side of the roadway east of the trail crossing.

Here is an update from Traffic: Thanks for letting us know about this – staff will review on street parking between 7th Ave NE and the I-5 overcrossing and will install parking prohibition signs as needed. The City does not install curb paint, though does allow for curbs to be painted by adjacent property owners in accordance with parking restriction municipal code.
