I talked to the trooper about it and mentioned " Give Respect, Get Respect " he said " you really going to bother me with this right now?"

The trooper, upon return confronts me. Says state law trumps local ordinance. He knows about the campaign, but likes to interrupt what I say and change the subject. Says I shouldn't have talked to him the way I did, asking a question from across the street. He didn't like that I mentioned a mayors office employee in reference to the bike lanes. Kept talking down to me.

This issue is 10 day old and has not been marked " Acknowledged" makes you wonder.

Maybe with the new paving along this stretch of North 13th Street this issue will be resolved. Only time will tell.

Until Philadelphia Police lead by example and enforce traffic laws these issues will continue. Bicycle lanes are worthless when the police feel so privileged that the lane becomes their parking lot.
