The City is currently working on a design solution to address the 10yr storm event flooding issue on private property at 2619 S. Saunders Street. We have met and discussed the design with property owners at 2609 and 2619 S. Saunders Street. The ‘wall’ that is referred to in this comment was not placed by the City. The property owners understand that the removal of the wall remains a civil matter between property owners. The City has indicated to the property owners that any part of the wall that is removed as part of the project will not be replaced by the City. S. Saunders is a State maintained road and flooding issues on this road need to be addressed to NCDOT.
