Please do not do this. Cars already drive at 15-20 mph over the posted speed limit through the elementary school zone at Constitution & 13th Street. The only thing that calms traffic to a reasonable point is two way traffic. Otherway it becomes a speedway both in the morning and at night. Keep it as it is!

There are too many one way urban freeways around here.

Keep it two way and add bicycle lanes or MUTCD bicycle sharrows.

PLEASE do NOT change it back. Constitution Ave is a residential street, not a Maryland commuter expressway.

Tom, there are other objectives that transportation planners must weigh beyond the issue of traffic "congestion" for some modes. What about traffic calming and reduction of speeds in these mostly residential areas to promote safety and make such streets a less attractive choice for commuting motorists and other thru traffic?

+1 on not changing it back to one way at rush hour. If you lived here when it was, cars would fly by at 6am at speeds well over 50 mph. It ended when a car crashed and rolled over into the Maury School yard.
