Thanks. I'm at the park now and they are still locked. I was here yesterday - the park was full of families and they were locked. Please make this a priority.

Per the Parks Department - The parks maintenance vendor has been contacted and instructed to unlock these bathrooms and keep them clean and stocked.

I just got home from the park - this issue was prematurely closed - not only are the bathrooms still locked, they have a sign duct-taped to both of the doors.

Please leave this issue open until the bathrooms are open - it needs to go to the top of the list.

Families use this park regularly as well as the neighborhood delivery drivers.

We will forward to the Parks Maintenance Supervisor. At the time the initial issue was closed, the bathrooms were unlocked and being serviced daily.

Per Park Maintenance:

They are locked due to a major water line break. We will have to replace a section of the line before they can be reopened. Plumbers have come our, assessed the damage and will schedule the repair as soon as possible.

Thanks Richard, hopefully they will understand this does not need to drag out for too long. A fellow that was there more than three weeks ago said there was a line break. As far as them being unlocked and serviced daily when the issue was closed on 4/10 - sounds like a communication breakdown - they have been closed for quite some time possibly due to the line break. However, good to know a repair is being scheduled. To us daily users of the park, they are an important fixture.

Just got home from the park and there was a fire at one of the pavillions near the bathrooms - no water at the spitgots to put it out - this problem of no water needs to be addressed sooner than later.

The bathrooms have been repaired however, it appears damage was done to the women's bathroom door because it will no longer close - the door will not fit into its frame. Was this reported on the workorder or some type of notation made when the work was inspected by the city?

This problem is about to hit the two month mark and the official start of summer is this weekend. Has the women's bathroom door been repaired so that it will close? Should I open a new ticket?

Per Parks Maintenance - The water line has been repaired and other than the door issue, the bathrooms should be operational. They will have someone look at the door issue tomorrow. Typically, if it is a new issue, it should be opened as a new ticket, but in this case, we will address it under this ticket.

Please note - who signed off on the repair? Certainally there was QC involved before the bill was paid - someone had to know the door had a problem because they had to go in and out of the bathroom to turn the water on and off, clean it - stock it etc.. Believe me - this is not a situation where the door is hard to shut - the door has been knocked off its kilter between the time it was locked for repairs and unlocked when the repair was finished. It actually slams into the jamb, it can't even be forced shut - not something that is easy to miss and it concerns me that no one caught it.

If we have a parks department you would think they would be on top of these issues without waiting for citizens to complain.

Rick - until we hire actual employees and get away from contracting - it will never work. While the contract guys that I have met down there are nice, they are from another town and do not have a stake in the future of the park - it is a job to them until the contract runs out. In regards to this issue, I'd be interested in the sequence of events from the first day the bathrooms were locked due to the leak, and the day they were unlocked, cleaned and stocked and who checked their work making sure all was ok by performing a walk thru before the payment was made. Not trying to find fault with anyone but there has got to be some check and balances.
