The ground is vibrating and there is a high pitched sound emitting down the street Older people can't hear it because you're old, no disrespect but it is true. It is becoming unlivable, our children can't take it anymore. The floor in the house vibrates inside and outside . Please send someone to check what is going underground, something is not righ. It is affecting the whole stree. It hs been going on for month. Is it the Newlyweds bakery or the construction? Please check

Noise and vibrations are coming from the neighboring Newly Weds Foods factory, generally from 6.30am to 10.40pm Mon-Fri, and some weekends and nights. I invite the Watertown Health Department to come to my place to better understand what my family is experiencing.

    Thanks,

    Emmanuel Tournier

Could not attach a video but beginning around 4am, there has been the sound of someone playing their radio (a talk-show or podcast?) at full volume. To the point where I was wondering if it was my neighbors talking until it got even louder and I was able to hear it over my white noise machine. I am located at the crosswalk at mount Auburn street and Winthrop and believe the noise was coming from the Winthrop side. I was not in a position of seeing which exact building the noise was coming from or of it was coming from a car. This carried on for over half an hour

Hello, please address the excessive noise pollution created by the newly constructed BB&N field on Grove Street. I can literally feel the bass emanating from the property and other noise.
  • 23 Adams Street Watertown, Massachusetts, 02472 - Watertown
A critical water drainage issue on Arthur Terrace is severely impacting the property at 23-25 Adams St. Following the street's repaving, its slope now directs rainwater and runoff onto this property, leading to substantial damage, health and safety risks for young children, and structural threats, including regular basement flooding.

I heard work at this site at 7:12 am with my windows closed It was quiet enough i figured to let it slide It is not quiet anymore & can be heard over traffic Lumber being cut/dropped, hammering, etc
Very disappointing from a site that usually runs no louder than it has toeven with heavy machinery and stays within noise ordinance hours

Highly irritating, constant 11k tone/whistle emanating from Newly Weds Foods. More than annoying, actually painful to abutters.

Please install curb around newly planted trees to help keep mulch in and protect from vehicles/snow plows

Please, ASAP do something about the high-pitch noise (vibration, sounds like a dental drill) that is heard around Ralph Piteri Ter from the directions of the Molloy/Hearn St (the building with yellow towers). The sound is unbearable, and it has been present all day long on July 21, 2023. The construction workers on the Watertown Greenway also mentioned that the noise was there on July 20. Please investigate and stop this sound asap, thank you! Ida Pavlichenko.
  • 25 Cottage Street Watertown, MA, 02472, USA - Watertown
Bike path that runs from Arlington St. thru Cottage St. and towards Cambridge has 12-inch deep water making it impassable. Suspect that drainage ditches/features are not functioning properly.

There is no crosswalk over School St, either at Laurel or at Cypress (where there is a mailbox). I have seen several people crossing to the mailbox almost get hit by vehicles speeding down School St to make the light at Arsenal. This problem is worst in the morning rush as students have to cross School St. to reach the bus stop in front of Convenience Plus (corner of Laurel and School). In years past, I've seen middle school students have near misses on being hit (sometimes it is because they are less experienced crossing streets, but there is no safe place for them to cross); at least this year the WMS bus pick up is earlier than the worst traffic. However, this year is very dangerous for the WHS students whose bus pick up (7:57am) coincides with peak rush hour traffic down School Street. I've seen so many kids almost hit!!

I'm finally posting a request for this ongoing problem, because this morning I saw a pregnant woman pushing a stroller from west Cypress over to the mailbox almost get hit by a car flying down School St--the car's tire screeched in his attempt to stop in time! From the pedestrian's perspective, the angle of the road doesn't allow one to see more than a block up School St. If the driver had not been speeding there might not have been a problem, however, drivers also don't have any signage/crosswalk etc to suggest that there might be a pedestrian crossing there. Sadly, some one will be hit, probably killed at this crossing--I worry it will most likely be a student trying to reach his/her assigned school bus stop. just to be clear, that corner has been a fixed bus stop for YEARS--but even if it doesn't remain one, the mailbox will continue to be on the corner of School and Cypress (as it has for the last 2 decades).

It seems ridiculous that there is no legal/safe crossing point between Arsenal/School or Boylston/School given the amount of pedestrian traffic that needs to cross from West to East along that corridor. Every side street entering School St. has a painted crosswalk, why not one across School to encourage Pedestrians to cross at a single place and help drivers learn where that place will be?

  • Belmont St & Mount Auburn St Cambridge, MA, 02138, USA - Watertown
Please add flex posts to the bike lane buffer at the turn from Mount Auburn onto Belmont St. Drivers will often cut through the buffer and bike lane at high speed when making this turn.
