  • Corner Of Weber and Princeton Blvd., Inland St., and Wilder St. across from the Morey School., Lowell, MA - Lowell
At the corner, of Weber, and Princeton Blvd, there is a makeshift garage, or tent , with a vehicle under it , on the front lawn. There is no curb cut. At the bottom of Inland St. there is a single family dwelling, with 7, or 8 vehicles surrounding it, if emergency vehicles had to get into the house they would have a difficult time. On Wilder St. across from the Morey School asphalt covers everything, it looks like slumville;cars are parked on front lawns, side yards, and back yards also. Where is rain water going to run, if it can"t percolate through the soil any more? At the corner, of Westford, and Wilder one can find 4, or 5 SUV's parked squarely, on the public sidewalk. this is an accident waiting to happen, and when it does the City of Lowell will be liable.
  • 300-398 Father Morissette Boulevard Lowell, Massachusetts - Lowell

It's been awhile since the bike lanes were added to Fr. Morrissette, but nearly every day on my commute I'm still seeing drivers driving in the bike lanes and/or the parking lanes when no cars are parked there. Most are people who move over to the right long before the turn lane starts (especially outbound by Jeanne D'Arc and Wannalancit before turning right onto Cabot), but others just completely disregard the bike lanes and drive in them as if there were still two travel lanes.

I don't know what can be done regarding better traffic enforcement or some sort of barriers (there are sometimes a barrel at the very beginning of the bike lane, but they fall over or move, or cars just move over right after the barrel), but I worry it's such a safety concern. Just a matter of time before a biker gets hit. Plus, yesterday a car turned right at the proper time to turn onto Cabot and was nearly rear-ended by a car driving illegally in that lane.

  • Ugly,unsafe Lowell Acknowledged
    Stevens lowell, MA - Lowell
I wish Mr. Baacke would checkout the bottom of Forest St.,Blodgett St.,Stevens St.,across from St. Margarets's School, around the corner,on Wedge St.,Wilder St.,across from the Morey School, to see for himself how ugly, and unliveable Lowell is becoming.Houses on these streets have been converted to numerous apts.,lawns are ripped up, asphalted, and cars everywhere. If you're a neighbor to one of these monstrosities, you're out of luck, as your new view is one of cars, with fumes, no grass, or flowers, just cars, and no privacy, just cars, cars, and more cars. Watch your property values plummet also. Mr Baacke can expound, on making Lowell better, but it will never be more livable,or greener, if the car remains King, in Lowell, and if his dept.,refuses to enforce the city's parking, driveway, and stormwater ordinances.
  • 40 Waugh Street And 42 44, 46 Waugh Stret, Lowell, Massachusetts - Lowell
There is an increased amount of trash and debris around both of these properties as well as an abundance of cars which park blocking the sidewalk for passage. This is going to be a major concern once the snow arrives. Also why is the owner of 44-46 who is an absentee landlord not required to post on the building the contact information for the owner or the property manager? Tonight they are now out there doing construction work which I thought had limited hours in residential neighbrohoods?? Where is the city's support on these issues??
  • 139 Methuen Street Lowell, MA - Lowell
There is an on going problem of cars parking on side walks on Methuen and Mort Street. This causes pedestrians to walk in the street creating a hazardous environment for a driver and the pedestrian. The other day I say an individual in a wheel chair in the street due to the fact the side walk was not accesable. Can the local authority do something to efforce this not to happen?
  • 557-577 Stevens St Lowell, MA 01851, USA - Lowell
there are cars parked ON the sidewalks along Stevens St. every night when i'm walking with the family. This results in me and my 4-year old waking ON Stevens St., which is a notably busy road. It's against the law to park on sidewalks, and someone is going to get seriously injured, or worse----until the police reinforce this.
  • crossing street Acknowledged
63 Bridge Street Lowell, Massachusetts - Lowell
The walk signal at this intersection allows pedestrians to cross on the south crosswalk from Kerouac Park to French St. However, it gives traffic on French St. a left turn arrow making it impossible to cross French St. Also, although there's a second cross walk across Bridge towards French, there's no button on that pole. Plus, a walk signal allows traffic to turn left from French onto Bridge making it dangerous to use that walk.
  • 197-215 Methuen Street Lowell, MA 01850, USA - Lowell
A car regularly parks on the sidewalk on Methuen St at the corner of Beacon St. The owner seems to think the sidewalk is the same as a driveway; there is a private garage there but no driveway. The sidewalk is completely blocked.
  • 181 Market Street #18 Lowell, MA 01852, USA - Lowell
Jagged metal sticking up from the sidewalk. Potential to cause injury.
  • Wood And Middlesex St. Rourke Bridge Lowell, MA - Lowell
on the bridge going away from middlesex st the lights on the right side the lights have been on all the time for a few weeks now; the lights on left side have been off and never going on. i have called the city of lowell-- national grid and the state with no results.. this is a safty hazard because people walking over the bridge are doing it in darkness at night and it is hard for cars to drive over it at night time
  • Speeding Archived
98-114 Mount Hope Street Lowell, Massachusetts - Lowell
When University Ave and Mammoth Road are backed up at the lights that people come speeding down Mt. Hope St. to Riverside St. There has been a lot of accidents at the intersection of Mt. Hope St and White St. We need a four way stop sign or speed bumps there to stop the speeders from a bad accident before someone gets killed
