Trash and broken glass is scattered everywhere across this relatively brand new park. It's supposed to be pedestrian friendly where bikeshare bikes are picked-up/returned but it's a total eyesore. Additionally, tall weeds are in many places and a big blue recycling box is there too. (unfortunately I don't have a pic)

A variety of weeds & trash along the highway. The grass looks fantastic driving past L'enfant Plaza but a mess in many other places. It would be wonderful to see it all cleaned up when on the route home or on the way to a ball game. It could change how people feel about coming into the city.

Modify the method so residents can see more information about an issue. Being closed does not mean being fixed. We need to know when things are scheduled to be fixed not if the reported information is added into a separate recording system only accessible to DC employees and the person making the request. Everyone needs to see the info and schedule. See the issue referenced in the picture for an example.

It looks like the walls and ceiling of the Sherwood Rec Center gym has not been dusted since the new building has been built. Can we get some equipment in there to do it? It's really disgusting as the dust rains down on players in the gym and that really can't be good for anyone with allergies.

What kind of schedule are the other rec centers normally dusted like this? What procedures are in place to regularly review, fix, clean, etc. Rec Centers so they are in tip top shape?

On the stairs going up to the 2nd floor of the Sherwood Rec Center meeting rooms, the carpet is worn & fraying. Please replace.

it's hot outside. The trash is still not picked up. We've had at least 3 weeks in a row of bad trash and recycling pickup on this block. Can we please have it picked up ASAP before it gets more stinky

Current schedule: Monday -trash only ; Thursday trash and recycling

  • 600 I Street Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill
Many intersections along I Street do not have Do Not Enter signs warning drivers to not turn west onto I Street. This problem occurs at many, but not all intersections along I Street from 400 I Street until I Street crosses Florida Avenue NE
  • 701 4th Street Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill
One way road is missing stop sign on left side of intersection. See picture. Only one stop sign exists.
  • 700 4th Street Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill
Truck is close to intersection causing many drivers to not see stop sign and running thru the intersection
  • 700 Maryland Avene Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill

Issue 71252 has been open for a while but likely has been ignored because it only referenced Rt 1 instead of a specific address on Maryland Avenue NE. I think this location I am adding is the intended area http://seeclickfix.com/issues/71252-pedestrian-safety

Drivers often ignore the posted signs for pedestrian right of way. Some kind of periodic enforcement would be good to improve pedestrian safety. Cars often keep driving despite pedestrians in a crosswalk approaching their half of the road.

  • 1210 G Street Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill
The sidewalk and part of the tree box has sunk about 6 inches into the ground. The sidewalk is still there but it's like a mini-sinkhole caused the dirt underneath it to disappear. Someone is going to really hurt themselves walking when they don't notice the problem and avoid it.
  • 712 15th St Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill
Driving north on 15th street at H St NE it appears that Bladensburg Rd is straight across the intersection, but it's not. Both southbound Bladensburg drivers and northbound 15th St drivers get a green at the same time. Drivers from 15th Street get a solid green light and often turn left onto H Street in front of oncoming traffic from Bladensburg that is headed south onto Maryland Avenue NE. It's an accident waiting to happen. I don't know the solution to prevent a collision but it needs fixing.
  • 1502 Bladensburg Rd Ne Washington, DC - Trinidad
Southbound lanes on Bladensburg near Denny's need improvement. The right lane ends immediately after the Mt. Olivet intersection when someone is parked in front of the Denny's. The lane is required to turn left so no car is in the left lane after the intersection. The driver in the middle lane must always be aware of this problem and move to the left lane after the intersection so the driver in the right lane can avoid the parked cars. It would be much better if the lanes shifted left in mid intersection and the curb was pushed into the road the depth of the parking so drivers would automatically & easily move left together.
  • 701 7th St Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill

2 new signs are needed to replace "No Stopping" signs as they are not working and traffic is often stopped and backed up when both cabs and drivers opt to stop and wait for minutes on this road that has no parking or shoulder available on the north bound lane.

Singage stating: "No Stopping, No Standing, No Drop-off, No-Pickup, No Idling" is needed across the street from the Kaiser Permanente entrance.

  • 224 G St Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill
A driveway no longer exists and people who park in front of that curbed area are incorrectly ticketed. Signage allowing either zone 6 residential or metered parking is needed as it is not fair to not allow people to park in a needed parking spot.
  • 700 2nd St Ne Washington, DC - Capitol Hill
A new crosswalk is needed at the northern part of the intersection of 2nd and G Streets NE. A crosswalk exists on the southern part but it is not enough. People walking west to Union Station use the southern crosswalk but most people going west to Kaiser Permanente don't use it as they must then first go south before walking north to the KP entrance.
