  • 51-99 Curcombe Street Hartford, Connecticut - Sheldon Charter Oak
The parking lot at Curcombe St and Hendricxsen Ave cannot be accessed due to a large pile of gravel blocking the entrance. The lot itself is also not ready for parked cars. The sports teams who pay to use Colt Park are dependent upon this lot for parking and the season has begun. This lot needs to be cleared immediately and the entrances made accessible again.

  • Illegal Parking Archiviert
215 Fairfield Ave Hartford, CT - South West
Cars that chronically park on street on trash day despite posted signs prevent street sweeping from being effective. This pertains to the entire length of Fairfield Avenue.
  • Goodwin Park Rd Hartford, CT - South End
Drinking fountain near playground just keeps running and overflowing onto ground. Also, tons of trash around the playground and parking area nearby despite Big Belly and other containers. Spent fireworks, dirty kid's underwear, wrappers, etc. Smells really, really bad.

  • Park Trashed Out Archiviert
Park Terrace Hartford, CT - Frog Hollow
It's a shame that the users of this park don't care more for the facilities provided to them. Perhaps more trash barrels might be an incentive to dispose of litter? These photos were taken around the playscape area.
  • Park Terrace Hartford, CT - Frog Hollow
This new playscape is already badly covered with graffiti - some offensive language.
  • Maple Ave Hartford, CT - South End
One (sometimes two) individuals stationed near the intersection of Maple Ave and Ridge Rd with "will work for food" signs. Have witnessed at least one time one of the vagrants running into oncoming traffic to chase a dollar a driver threw out his window as he drove past.
  • Fairfield Avenue Hartford, CT - South West
No Parking signs along street do no deter cars from parking along the length of Fairfield Ave on Tuesdays/refuse pickup day. Traffic is blocked as garbage trucks do their rounds (irate drivers/honking horns); litter along curbs not able to be swept up. Ongoing issue.
  • 8 Hendricxsen Ave Hartford, CT - Sheldon Charter Oak
The wholesale dumping of tree branches on the Maseek/Hendricxsen corner of the parking lot is a bad idea. This area is prone to illegal dumping of trash, graffiti and a host of other issues. The mountain of tree branches just invites other dumping in the vicinity and serves as a screen for illegal activity. If these tree branches sit here all winter, they will create a nice little nesting area for rats and undo all the progress that's been made to clean up this corner. GET THE BRANCHES OUT OF HERE.
