    Traffic going into the base obstructs west-bound traffic on Shore Drive. Drivers turn left across Shore onto Independence to access the gate, and drivers going north on Independence back up across Shore obstructing the right (and sometimes) the left lane west bound. The problem is the navy does not have enough gates open on Sunday around noon. This happens every week!
