    510 23 1/2 Street Alley Way Between Baltic & Med. Sts. Virginia Beach, VA - Northeast
    A city inspector was out here about a month ago. She snapped many pictures and said an order would be submitted. Nothing has come of this that I know of. There does not appear to be even one drain that is functioning in this alley way that I understand is the responsibility of the city.

    Because of the chronic flooding in the street & alley way which are now obstructing my condo community owner & visitor parking lots, I have no place to safely park. My condo rules and regulations do not permit owners to park for extended periods in the visitor spaces (non-owner designated parking spaces). My car will be towed. My condo community (Sea Pines Condos) is becoming an island.

    This "thoroughfare" is in need of attention right now. The neglect on the part of the city concerning this issue that, by the way, residents have reported repeatedly, has gone on for longer that what is reasonable or acceptable. Perhaps our local voted in representatives should be informed of the multiple reports to you that have netted zero or negative results. The tax dollars that I pay obligates you to follow up with diligence and assist in maintaining our community. By this I do not mean that you send an automated response to a reach out for help. Your inspectors should all be put on leave until this can be investigated. They do our community absolutely no justice. Fix this now please City of Virginia Beach.

    This issue was not resolved. I see that on June 12 another resident reported this pothole mess. After my inquiry on 5/22 it appeared that the city came out and placed a couple of pieces of asphalt which only made matters worse. I just now called the number 757-385-1470 and spoke with a very nice person that politely offered that i can put in another request for the city to come out and inspect. Hopefully, this time it will be completely fixed. I fully intend to follow up every day if necessary. Cars have to swerve over into oncoming traffic to avoid falling into these potholes or causing expensive damage to their vehicle. Please fix.

    This asphalt debacle has been ongoing for about three years now. I request that the city repair this block of defective roadway as it creates wear and tear on my vehicle every day and is affecting me in the form of automotive repair bills.

    City of Virginia Beach......fix this now, please? This is a huge failure on the part of the city department(s) that are responsible for addressing citizen environmental concerns. In this case, these issues have been ongoing (and obviously somewhat ignored) for YEARS. This all started as a result of poor surveying and/or inadequate provisions for erosion, run off, storm drainage, etc., City personnel, officials, engineers are 100% responsible for seriously degrading the quality of life in our neighborhood. Shame on you. Public Works has been aware of this. And, to add insult to injury, the city has administered some type of band aid solution by throwing down gravel which only aggravated a situation. Something good needs to come of this and soon.

    As a resident, owner and tax paying citizen I request that the city address this NOW. This is ridiculous. And, this is where my valuable tax dollars are NOT being allocated???? Pics of 500 block 24th St. between Baltic & Mediterranean and the alley way 23 1/2 parking lot of Sea Pines Condos. Residents on 24th St apartments are renters and think they do not have a voice so I will speak for them!!! Where is their quality of life and home? As a resident across the street this is a serious eye sore. These pics were taken over 36 hours after rain stopped on 3/7/18. Wed. Night. Do something now please.
