A downed tree has fallen onto the trails that go along East Rock Park Road (between Livingston and Whitney) and is blocking the path. This may be related to the tree referenced in Issue ID: 5085656, which appeared to be blocking the road.
  • East Rock Park Road New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
Several couches and a microwave have been dumped down the hill into the woods on the side of East Rock Park Road. They are in the woods a few feet away from the intersection of the two multi-use trails.

A large number of tires and other miscellaneous trash were illegally dumped from the top of Farnam Dr down into the woods. Several tires remain just under the road at the top of the hill, along with a mattress and other trash. Please remove.

  • Farnam Drive New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
Another ~30 old tires were dumped off of Farnam Road into the woods. They were strewn all over the trails, in the trees, and some were down in the river. I collected about half of them yesterday (which had already been picked up today, thank you!) and the rest were piled near the road today for disposal, with the help of local trail users. This is the 2nd separate dumping of tires along this stretch of road this week alone (and the 4th I've seen this past year), this is getting ridiculous. The constant dumping of tires, old appliances, construction debris, and other trash along this stretch is a huge detriment to this area and an annoyance to everyone who uses these trails for recreation.
  • Farnam Drive Hamden, Connecticut - Hamden
Traffic sign warning about the sharp curve has been hit by a car and is hanging down onto the hill. Please repair.
  • Farnam Drive Hamden, Connecticut - Hamden
Approximately 20 old tires were illegally dumped off of Farnam Drive down the hill onto the trails. I gathered them up onto the side of the road for disposal, but they were strewn all down the hill. This is at least the 3rd time in the past year that a large number of tires (10+) have been dumped along this stretch of road onto the running trails. It would seem an unscrupulous local auto shop is routinely dumping their tires here instead of properly disposing of them. This is unacceptable and a huge eyesore and annoyance to everyone who uses these trails.
  • English Drive New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
Clothes dryer dumped on the side of the road between the road and the trails.
  • Farnam Drive New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
Over a dozen old tires were thrown off of the road onto the trails and surrounding woods. The tires were collected from the woods and piled (by local trail users) for disposal.
