  • Traffic Lights Anerkannt
6045 Jewell Street Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
I understand that there's construction going on here, so it won't be perfect. However, something needs to be done about the cars on Jewell going through the intersection on red lights. It's not a right on red, it's a straight on red and I'm pretty sure the whole point of red lights is not to do that. The intersection is difficult enough without cars going through the light trying to run you over when you're exiting the park. Maybe a sign that instructs people to stop? A no turn on red sign? I don't totally know the solution, but I'm also not the traffic engineer who ok'd this death trap.
  • Clogged drain Archiviert
New Ross County Wexford Park, Hartford, Connecticut - Downtown
The drain right next to the eastern edge of the skatepark seems to be clogged. It's making a big pond in the park and last week when it got cold the pond became a skating rink. While we like skating with both ice skates and skateboards in Hartford, I don't think combining the two is a great idea.

Trip hazard on the sidewalk. Loose expansion joint covering.

311 claims it was fixed, but it's still very much not fixed.

  • Pothole Archiviert
57 Wadsworth Street Hartford, Connecticut - South Green
Utility work was done and a poorly administered cold patch was applied. It's gone now and there's a gravel hole in the road.
  • 51-153 Fairfield Avenue Hartford, Connecticut - South West

I've lived here for awhile and this spring is the worst yet for ATV's and dirtbikes in Hyland Park and surrounding neighborhoods. I've complained to the police, council, the mayor and pretty much everyone else that I know. No one seems to want to do anything about it, but I figured I'd complain here, too.

I'm also considering just buying a dirtbike in the spirit of "if you can't beat them, join them." It's not like I would have to worry about any consequences.

Graffiti all over the Hyland Park spray pool again. Looks like the fake scoreboard is broken and may fall on someone.
  • Curb Repair Archiviert
51-153 Fairfield Avenue Hartford, Connecticut - South West
Curb is missing, which seems to be causing the street to flood. It is also allowing vehicles to drive into the park
