    There is puddle around a manhole cover in the travel lanes of westbound Va Beach Blvd at this location. The liquid is present every morning when I pass by - even after several days of no rain. It appears that a utility pipe beneath the road is leaking.

    The grass in the road medians at this location and throughout Kings Grant is 2 ft high in many places. The city does not tolerate this on private property, and the public should not have to tolerate this on city property.

    The road continues to sink. The depression in the travel lanes is as wide as a car. Cars slow to drive on the shoulder to get around it; otherwise car damage can result. Persons fishing and crabbing on the shoulder make this even more hazardous. The guard rail is collapsing. Dumping asphalt into the hole is only a temporary solution.

    The potholes at the Beaver Dr and Kings Grant Rd intersection are back. This issue has been opened, resolved and closed several times since the roadway was repaved last year. Until a proper substrate is put beneath the asphalt, a top patch won't work for long. The problem started when a contractor dug up the road for a sewer line installation in 2016. When the road was milled for paving last year, the milling stripped away all the asphalt to just gravel. The thin later of pavement cannot hold up to the traffic.

    The traffic light at the intersection of Kings Grant Rd and N. Lynnhaven Rd is not operating as in the past. It formerly changed the light for approaching traffic and ended the cycle when no cars where present. Now the light cycles as if is only on a timer and maintains a green signal when there are no cars in or approaching the intersection, The wait for a green light when there are no other cars present is much longer than in the past.
