60 in a 45 should not be considered slower traffic....and some people actually turn left off this road...cant do that from the right lane....

I think the police are actually paying attention. There was a cop driving on Rt 66 just yesterday afternoon at about 2:00 PM. He was doing a wonderful job of making sure everyone was doing 35 mph(yes 35, not 45 even) all the way from Tri-Town to Depot Hill in Cobalt where he finally turned left. Yeah, it's not dangerous at all having a ton of vehicles all be bunched up bumper to bumper like that. That's a lot safer. Thank you our friends in blue.

same drivers that lock em up on the highway when they see anything that resembles a police car. drives me crazy. I think the greatest problem is no one uses their mirrors to notice the forty cars behind them before the act.

In this instance it wasn't the citizens that were making traffic go 35, it was the cop himself. He squatted in the slow lane doing 35 and everyone was then afraid to pass him which caused the backup. Awesome job of traffic flow.

another accident....How many more accidents are needed to make a point?At least if police were present people would say “be careful on 66…the cops are always there!” Portland police-come on - get out there and be seen till 66 has a reputation of speeding tickets – not accidents! "
