The 4-way stop at this intersection spaces traffic in a manner that makes it very difficult for cross traffic in adjoining neighborhoods to get in and out of their subdivisions. This causes occasional accidents and frequent near-misses during rush hours. A traffic light, or perhaps a 2-way stop (signs on the north-south roads only) would be better here.
