Beschreibung

PLEASE correct the timing of the light to turn left from Falls of Neuse Road onto Old Falls of Neuse Road. Although there are two left hand turn lanes, the backups are now huge (at all times of the day) in those lanes as the light takes forever to allow a left hand turn. This has only recently started to happen over the last few weeks. Thank you!

I have been meaning to submit this same request. It appears that the PEDESTRIAN lights are automatically engaged during the light cycles but every time I go through this intersection there are NO pedestrians. I've experienced it more coming SOUTHBOUND on New Falls of Neuse trying to make the left hand turn onto Wide River Drive. The cars back up in the turn lane into the traffic that is heading south at 45+ mph. Meanwhile, there are NO cars coming NORTH. It seems that if the pedestrian signals were switched to being activated by an actual PERSON, then the left turn lanes could have a blinking yellow arrow. Thanks for taking a look!

Yes, this has recently started happening at Wide River, and is making people go up and do a u-turn and come back, which is ridiculously dangerous.

I have also noticed this ... Previously it seemed that there was a sensor when a car arrived in the turn lane so the wait was very short.

I submitted a request for the same thing about a month or so ago. They reduced the cycle time but need to do so more. It's most noticeable during rush hour

It seems to me, that no matter the time of day, the wait is awful. Why does the walk signal have to run through it's cycle if there are no pedestrians. Such a waste of time. I've seen people run the light because they thought it was not working properly. We came through there at 7:30 last night and had to wait what seemed like forever. The light used to be traffic controlled, but that no longer seems to be the case.

I agree that the turn from New Falls of the Neuse going south to turn left onto Wide River is excessively long....this morning I waited 2 full green light cycles for the green light for the south lane while I was waiting for the green arrow to turn left onto Wide River. No oncoming traffic at all.

I have waited at this light for 4 light changes before the left turn signal. I have seen numerous vehicles run this light because of the wait.

I would like to see a blinking yellow left turn light all the time. This seems to work safely and effectively at other intersections through out Raleigh and Wake Forest.

The city has been monitoring this intersection and recently changed the intersection from a coordinated plan to a free run (or on demand) plan. This will help reduce the wait time for left turns. The city will continue to monitor and make any necessary changes. Thank you for your concern with the safe and efficient movement of traffic.
