Crazy that tax paying citizens have to constantly call the city to get them to come do their job. Maintaining once a year is not enough to properly keep these drainage ditches clear. My neighbors newer home is built above our property that the city of course approved, they filled their ditch and now we take all direct runoff into our yard and into our horribly maintained drainage ditch. If they city won’t maintain it what am I to do? I can’t fill it legally without pulling permits and paying more money to the people neglecting me and my family and my neighbors. If it were in Shadowlawn or at north end it would be taken care of, just being neglected over here in Seatack where they have INMATES do the public landscaping maintaining our roadways, don’t see that in Shadowlawn or anywhere near the beach either. This is second year in a row I’ve dealt with this and am getting fed up.
