I am incredibly concerned with the increased attacks and reports against homeless individuals by "reporters" on See Click Fix. This post represents just one of many made in the past week. And, now "reporters" are using threats to make their point. I worry that a wonderful, helpful tool like See Click Fix is being used for individuals to anonymously post their fears about homeless individuals without talking about the real and hard issues surrounding homelessness.

I urge See Click Fix to not respond to threats like the one above.

How does this vehicle have an up to date tag if they say it's unable to be moved? Someone should check the DMV. How did it pass inspection? The city needs to tow this now.

Good point raised above. If this vehicle has a 2014 registration sticker on its tag and it hasn't moved from Moore Square since the beginning of 2013, how did it get inspected and renewed? Someone needs to check with the DMV.

Well isn't that interesting...for a van that never moves I wonder how it got a safety inspection. Someone has to be able to pull the name of the shop that performed the inspection.

Curiously...who said this vehicle is unable to be moved? If that was the case I'm sure ParkLink would have handed out a hefty number of tickets and given the vehicle the yellow boot. The original report was "woman illegally living in her van" - as if that really affects any one posting on See Click Fix.

I want to say Yes the van can be moved, It was moved a few months back on to the church parking lot for a weekend event!! Then it was drove back to the parking spot it is in now.Fact it is lic/I guess has Ins? Inspection ? If the person is homeless no money how does she paid the meter (which they said she does) I know for a fact I have check it 5 time in the past 2 month and it was not) I walk past it daily to work. SO some one has money to pay for all this I really wish the Do good would work with the city in getting her and others a clean safe place. As many city have build shelter that were open to the people with shower/a kitchen were people could and did serve meal,people could us the showers and had free washer and drier. That would be an answer NO more free parking/Feeding in public, But again where the money?? Police are doing their job Let keep the park open to all and PLEASE CLEAN it up !! Some day something will happen not good and every one will said no one told me!!

and when will COR vote out (repeal) those laws it (COR) does not want to enforce evenly amongst everyone RICH or POOR , BLACK or WHITE , HOUSED or HOMELESS ?

You're making a common mistake. A law doesn't have to say that "sleeping in your car" is illegal for it to be illegal.

MS has numerous criminal offenses listed where the results of sleeping in your car can be illegal, thus making sleeping in your car illegal by inference:

Disorderly conduct, disturbance in a public place, disturbing the peace, obstructing public streets, tramps, vagrants.

This has been reported plenty of times, the city is aware and the threat is very inappropriate. This is not a clear cut legal issue like some imply (the suggested lawlessness is very minor, but from prior RPD comments she does not violate the law and sometimes helps the police).

If any citizen tries addressing this on their own they are a criminal, not a vigilante.

This is inaccurate information. The City is not contemplating any changes to the use of SeeClickFix. We encourage all citizens to use this tool. Our record of response to SCF inquiries is quite good, with a median time to resolve of about 3 days. Some items take longer, but this tool has been valuable to the citizens as well as to our organization and we just want to make sure that's clear.

Seems a so-called church called "Love Wins" Ministries is spamming the site with these bogus comments. Flagged. Moderators, please consider blocking by IP, this group is angry and taking it out on us and the city of Raleigh.

to the people who were defending me in this matter thank you very much if you have done your homework. I appreciate that very much I was in this town long before a lot of these people were....I was here before a lot of the police were even born.....I am not a bum....I have an income it is just not enough to do everything that needs to be done.....

. my van is legal my tags are legal I drove my van to DMV to get my tags I drove my van to get gas and I Drive my van to the inspection station on the second day of August 2013... If it is anybody damn business... I am NOT doing anything illegal I do not cheap loud noises. I do not even play the radio oh my van... I did not create any problems for any body I do not drag trouble around here I try to keep peace and I have paid people to clean up that walls in the parking area on this side of the park...I have been in raleigh off and on my whole entire life I was born here my great grand daddy was on the police force hear my grandparents were officers in the Salvation Army my sister is an ordained minister from the Salvation army.. why don"t you get a life and tend to your own business....what time of day are you checking my meter ????? I pay at 8am Monday thru Friday...except for holidays and nights and weekends....that is what it says on park link pamplets.. you do not have a reason ro check my meter...tend to yours... you arebnot supporting me ....so leave me and my van alone........
