Drain in center of Lower Longfellow Park is perennially plugged and not functional whenever there is a substantial rain so there is a lake in the middle of the park.
DPW workmen digging up drainage in Upper Longfellow said they were not detailed to deal with this issue. They said that drain needs to be evacuated of the leaf debris. This needs to be done and the resulting lake destroys the grass.
