As of right now there are two parked along Litchford Rd. at 1:43pm on a Saturday, there will be at least 5 or more tonight and into the morning. They will line the whole street.

These tractor trailers parking here have become a nuisance and a danger. Last week as one pulled out of the no parking area there was almost an accident. They park here night and day as well as parking after midnight until 0600 with their generators running/refrigerator engines running. These are commercial vehicles in a residential neighborhood. Their parking totally obstructs traffic on Litchford road. I called Raleigh PD and an officer responded saying there was nothing they could do and said “You are out of luck” and drove away. I called the City of Raleigh And was told to call Raleigh PD.
I am documenting each incident and when there is an accident or someone is killed I will submit these documents should there be a lawsuit. They need to STOP parking here!!!

I will be more than happy to contact the Mayor and any NewsMedia who would be interested in bringing attention to this very serious matter. In September the City of Raleigh stated they would erect signage stating NO PARKING. Someone dropped the ball on this and it needs to be corrected. Raleigh PD needs to be reminded they ARE responsible for ticketing traffic offenders.

I have been in contact with someone at the City of Raleigh who said an order was placed (August) for the signs & to be patient since there are multiple requests this time of the year. This is a major safety issue because of the accident potential. You can not see past the trucks/cars that park here in order to determine a good time to exit. This needs to be a priority.
