Thank you for reporting the site to the Town. We will be dispatching our inspector to the site to evaluate the sidewalk. Please allow us up to two weeks to conduct the inspection.

The Town currently repairs sidewalks based on the roads with the oldest complaints. Once we get to a street, we attempt to repair all sidewalk problems on the street. We are currently working on streets with complaints from 2007 and are about to begin 2008 streets. Based on current funding and given your street is a 2017 street, we do not have a good estimate on when the repair will be conducted

While I fully understand this, and greatly appreciate the response, some of the cracks are extremely dangerous. One part of the sidewalk is heaved up more than half a foot. It may take a long time to complete, but will share a photo if that helps.

Thank you for posting the photo above. Based on our inspection of the condition of the sidewalk, this site has been elevated to our claims list. Our contractors are currently on other job sites. We are scheduling the site as our on call contractors become available and we work through the claims list. Please be aware we schedule our claims list on a triage basis and handle the worst first.

It's been a year, the crack is still there. We're going into 10 + years of this, actually not even a crack but a horrible safety hazard. While I understand things are crazy right now, again, it's basically a foot high.

Unfortunately, we do not have a good time frame for any repair right now.

We are under a hard spending freeze and the Legislative Council has chosen to not pass a capital budget for three years. With the order to not spend what little money we have left nor any additional money coming in the near future, we are not assigning any work at this time, regardless of the location.

You will have seen some paving going on, but that is being done by Southern Connecticut Gas as part of the gas line installation restoration. That is at their cost, not a cost to the Town.
