It would help with noise (and errant cars) if the raised, earthen berm continued north around the hiway 599 curve. Very odd that it doesn't...did they run out of dirt?

We have had several cars go off that embankment. The worst being...the car made it all the way across the Tukwila interurban trail. It’s UNSAFE. People tend to pace the car off the freeway at 60 miles an hour. That curve with no markings always sneaks up on people. I’ve personal pulled out 6 cars out of the embankment over the yrs living in that neighborhood. Not bad people, not drunk just dark and unmaked curve and speeding.

Now about the unfinished protection and sound barrier on 599....No, they didn’t run out of dirt. They built the perfect ramp for cars to jump. They just happen to land on Interurban Ave S. It’s happened numerous times. Check DOT records (people have been ejected from their cars and ended up on the east side or interurban). Or just ask the guy that lives in the 1st house in that neighborhood. Oh that me!

And for gods sake‘s please don’t put up any more street signs we have more than enough. There are so many, that you can’t even read them all at speed.

I have also asked several times for more evergreen trees to be planted in this area as a noise barrier. Could also be a visual cue that there is a curve in the freeway
