This on-ramp to LIE 495 East at Exit 66 (Yaphank, Sills Rd) from the service road is still a terrible mess! It is quite dangerous as the OP states, with people attempting to dodge out into traffic to avoid, or nearly causing accidents with people behind them as they weave/suddenly brake to avoid huge potholes. Unbelievably, the repair crews park all their vehicles right next to this wrecked on-ramp, but although they're resurfacing the highway nearby, and often have this on-ramp closed during the night, no work is ever done on the on-ramp itself! Please fix it-- it is totally wrecking our alignments and makes for a very dangerous merge!
