Confederate Memorials that were erected during the Jim Crowe era had only one purpose, to create a threatening environment for non-whites. If one bothers to read the dedication speeches to these memorials one will quickly notice the racial remarks. I'd take the pro monument people seriously if they acted like they truly want to protect all our history. They can demonstrate that by lobbying hard and raising money for a memorial to slavery and enslaved people on the Capitol grounds. Get that done, and I might start believing they are sincere.

Why did it take over 8 days for this to be closed? This city is in shambles. #FailingCity. And too many anonymous trolls when us REAL citizens don't hide our identity and make honest requests.
