My house water smells like bleach. We traditionally use purified water but when taking a shower or doing dishes I have been noticing this smell for a few weeks. I have goggled this and was told it is due to high levels of chlorine. Is there a reason why we have these high levels of chlorine? Is anything being done to correct this and bring our water back down to where it was previously?
Thank you for your assistance.

Chlorine smells most when it is actively fighting bacteria. Often the most bacteria is found at the kitchen and bathroom fixtures, showers, faucets, tubs, etc. Remove and replace any sink aerators or at least thoroughly clean with bleach solution.
