"Burlington" this damage is almost certainly caused by the motor vehicle traffic from the driveway on these blocks causing expedited wear. Note how the blocks on either side are nearly pristine.

The sidewalk in front of my house gets hammered by the snow plow. Quite a sight when it hits the 2" heave.
