The drainage ditch on the west side at the end of our driveway on N. Lynnhaven Rd. nearly always has storm water accumulation. This is because over the years the ditch system which should drain south to the corner with Edinburgh Dr. has filled with sediment and now backs up into the section in front of our house.
A crew recently came and cleaned the pipes running under each driveway on the block but this has done little but to add more dirt and sediment.
The ditch system needs to be dug along the entire length of N. Lynnhaven down to the corner with Edinburgh Dr. so that storm water will drain properly.

Can you give us a date when this work order will be completed? With the recent rains the ditch section at 487 N. Lynnhaven is once again holding water. Those of us on the block are also curious as to why the block is never mowed regularly (both sides).

landscape services mows ditches throughout the city, they would have to answer the mowing schedule and location question.

Everyone on the block appreciates that the ditch system has been redug. However, the original problem still remains. The main drain that the ditches are supposed to drain into is on the south end of the block at the corner of Edinburgh and N. Lynnhaven. The ditches as now dug pitch to the north AWAY from the main drain. The result is that now homes on the block have standing water that did not previously. 487 N. and 491 N. Lynnhaven are especially affected.
We are requesting a new work order be issued to redirect the angle of the system so that the ditches pitch south to the main drain at the corner.
