Elevated and depressed manhole covers on Main Street from the Youth Center ,510 MainStreet to the 546 Main Street.(traveling north on east side of street) cause crashing truck noise regularly. Excessive up and down dips in the road are caused by irregular mahnhole covers. The large
constantly traveling construction
cement, dump truck, equipment
trucks quickly travel over street (morning and evening) making loud
banging noises. Road surface needs to be leveled......Level road surfaces makes more smooth travel. We can to some degree lessen the sense of living in a construction site with the improvement of Main Street's surface. PLEASE level the road!

traveling north on Main Street, Roosevelt Island. Construction trucks bounce through this area (both traveling north and south) creating excessively loud noise. Irregular leveling of road surface with
elevated manhole covers creates excessive bouncing of many trucks, particularly construction trucks;
cement, dump, others being used in the construction area. Those of us living above the street are
plagued with the constant noise of these trucks.
RESURFACE THE ROAD!!!! Put asphalt on the road to create a softer quieter road surface.
M102 and Red Bus contribute to the noise along with the garbage trucks and the numerous
delivery trucks.
Will there be any improvement of this problem?????I have been asking for this to be solved since
construction started on all the new buildings. Is anyone listening?? Will the amount of noise we
live with ever be lessened???
