When did lower Dixwell Avenue become a truck depot? They park illegally close to corners, so that oncoming traffic isn't visible to anyone trying to pull out from side streets. This has become a daily occurrence; on Monday there were at least 6 trucks parked between ALK Liquors and Treadwell Street.

I am including my response from another ticket on the issue. There are several tickets open at this point and some will be closed. I also encourage all to use the form linked below to provide comment.
From ticket 15394678:
The Mayor’s Office has had this identified as an important issue that negatively affects the surrounding community and Hamden as a whole. We have been working with our Engineering and Traffic Departments as well as the CT Department of Transportation on this issue. In terms of immediate remedies, Route 10 is a State of Connecticut road and parking is not determined by Town ordinance. There are several long and short term solutions we are pursuing to address this. We are also looking at ways to engage the community further on this issue and will communicate more shortly. I appreciate all of the feedback on this thread and would like to continue to collect feedback more formally here: https://hamden-town-of-hamden-public-comment.app.transform.civicplus.com/forms/36467
