The sign is correct. Personal items cannot be left on site and should not have been allowed in the past. They can certainly be brought into the park for use by the group that owns the items, but must be removed each day by the owners.

Well Lucinda , as someone that probably doesn’t have kids and doesn’t live in this neighborhood, I can sincerely say thanks for nothin. Great Job your doing in the Rec department.

You all should start an e-petition in the neighborhood and show Recreation how wrong they are.

As a parent, this is so disappointing! This was a special community park — kids love coming here for the toys. I wish city officials would focus their energy on things that actually matter like cleaning the unkept, dirty streets around the corner on Palisades Ave. Literally just walked by a tampon and some Modelo bottles not to mention the weeds and the smell of dog urine and feces everywhere. But hey, let’s make taking the toys away a priority. So unreasonable.

The toys were a nice community gesture. Throwing them away, which is exactly what was done, was cruel and incredibly wasteful. Now plastic toys are sitting in a landfill somewhere instead of being enjoyed by children. The city was morally wrong to do this.

Im confused why toys were removed from a children’s park but Palisade remains a trash dump that the city can’t figure out how to get clean.
