The Van Ness metro escalators seem to be always broken. People have to squeeze by in one file on one stair. It takes Metro ages to fix one short stair. I am fed up with the broken escalators, at Van Ness and everywhere else in DC. To add insult to injury, whenever I see repair-people working, they always seem to be slacking, with all their tools organized on shelves, taking their sweet time. Our Metro is a joke, and China is kicking our @#$%. This is our capital, we need to fix stairs, train schedules, everything overnight. It's not that hard. I can't tolerate this any longer.
