Beschreibung
Cars easily access this area 24 hours a day, while during off hours, pedestrians crossing from the metro stop to Carlyle must cross 3 of the 4 sides of the intersection, then request the light. It can take as long as 6 minutes to accomplish this legally, while the lights continue to focus on getting auto traffic through regardless of whether there is any at all.

Thanks for the note. The Pedestrian Tunnel is the encouraged way for pedestrians to cross this intersection. If the tunnel is closed, then the safest way to cross this major arterial is to cross at the designated locations. Please note that the City and the developer have jointly installed bricked pedestrian crossing areas high-lighting the pedestrian crossing locations, pedestrian count down signals, beacon flashers in signal heads facing eastbound vehicular traffic and a planter to channelize crossings at this location.
