I have three streetlights out on the corner of Chesapeake ave. and Park Ave. (the one on the very corner of Chesapeake ave. and Park ave. has no number listed on the pole...it is a newer pole located at the corner, the numbers on the other two poles are LA22 and LA62) by the way the two new poles located in the very front of my home at 1400 Cheasapeake ave. are about 5 to 6 foot taller than the poles on the rest of the street, we are located in the Historic district and I was told by the Civic league that all streetlights should be the same height, should I report this to the City or what?

The power poles are the property of Va. Dominion Power. You can report these lights out to them, as far as the civic league being ableto mandate pole height.. I don't know.

These poles are often made from fallen trees. They are reclaimed and used in other roles to serve the city and save money. I have seen this done in the parks in other city's. The budget has been cut for landscape workers and public works crews now carry the bulk of the work in the city.

Please try to remember the landscape budget has been cut. there are three workers doing the job of 231 just a few years ago. I know this becaise i go to civic meetings. I poll chinese buffets. I make alot of this up in my head. Public works gets all the glory but we are the ones who pick up the litter and signs.
