The entire road of Lagoon Court is covered with repaired potholes, potholes, cracks, loose pavement, dust, and gravel pieces. The county has painted/lined the street several times to do repair work but it never gets done. They have done spotty repairs but the entire road needs resurfacing. Kids playing in the culdesacs risk slipping on all the loose rocks. They cant rollerskate or skateboard or ride scooters. Walking without shoes in the culdesacs is torture to even walk one step.
It took the county 3 years to resurface one of our neighborhood streets(Belleglade Drive) after several patches only to resurface the entire street a week after repairs.

Thank you for contacting the Citizen Help Center. SR#1176121 has been submitted to the Roads and Drainage Department. Below, please find additional information on the criteria used by DeKalb for paving roads.
A:The Roads and Drainage Division responds to requests for street resurfacing and/or paving. Each year a DeKalb County road rating engineering technician inspects approximately 2,115 miles of County roadway (consisting of more than 8,122 streets) using elements of the Georgia Department of Transportation's (DOT) pavement condition rating system to evaluate the structural condition of the roadways.
Twelve kinds of pavement distress are evaluated and each road will have a score between 0 and 60. Those streets with ratings of 30 or higher are eligible for submission to the Georgia DOT for possible resurfacing under their Local Assistance Resurfacing Program (LARP).
The schedule for street resurfacing is available on the County website (also see attached document)
http://www.co.dekalb.ga.us/publicwrks/roads_drainage/pdf/pavingList.pdf
We are unable to provide an estimate at this time on when the street will be resurfaced. We can send out a technician to inspect the conditions for patching and fill potholes.
Sincerely,
