You must be on another break again. My civil engineering degree is from MSU. I dont need a PE cert from the state to see what goes on every day on the job site. its unfolding in front of my eyes 8 hours a day. You must one of the union workers who milks the state for substandard work for the highest pay in the country.That would be why our bridges and roads are always falling apart. But lets blame it on winter. People are starting to catch on to that excuse. The contractors who line the pockets of the state and federal inspectors are all falling like a house of cards. Perhaps the residents will start getting what they pay their tax dollars for. Quality workmanship completed in a timely manor.

Um, I think it's been longer than that. Don't ask me why. I agree - it's taking WAY too long - what an inconvenience to those of us who regularly use Hayes Rd. to cut over to Frazho!!!! Ridiculous.

You all want them to hurry it up, but would probably be the first to complain about a tax increase to provide funds for such a thing.

Not me, I rent ..... And yes, I expect them to finish in a timely manner. Maybe if the entire road commission was not spread out over 50 different projects at once, and maybe if they put more workers to a few jobs at a time, and dedicate their time and resources so that things get done quickly and move on to the next, then we wouldn't be sitting here for months and months and months. I used to live in California .... God forbid a road job dragged on for eternity like they do here.

I think my 19 cents a gallon gas tax is plenty along with the taxes the state passes along.IFwe had a true commitment that the tax would be used for roads I wouldnt have a problem paying it. But there is too much slight of hand in Lansing. and moving money away from one project to another. The contractor that works on Interstate roads is always offered a early completion bonus. again, the state picks and chooses who they want to push and the ones who just lag along.

@lawlz .... how, exactly, did you prove your point? We don't have to work for the road commission or in road construction to know poor management and decision-making when we see it. And being that counties try to lure people to THEIR county by touting all kinds of things, then fail to follow through with keeping those residents happy after they choose to move there, I would say we have blatant DISHONESTY going on, at the very least, and FRAUD in worst case scenario. Bottom line is CHEAP labor (which is usually sub-par) and/or big construction companies lining the pockets of the elected, and the elected returning the favor by giving them the contracts ... then those companies go on to soak the county and its residents for every penny they can by dragging the work out .... No, you don't have to work on the roads in order to recognize highway robbery when you see it .....
