You are correct, this intersection does fall under the Provincial Juridiction.

However, the left turn direction you are referring to is the westbound movement (coming from the east). This signal is a "hit and miss" as the lights are under a loop detection cycle; with the pavement markings not at the intersection is is hard for motorist to decipher where to stop so that they will trigger the advance left turn light.

The situation will be looked into further to mitgate the issue.

Thanks for the follow - up. I had noticed the issue before the paving and road marking was gone. Is it not possible to set the lights to not to use loop detection during peak hours?

These lights use the detectors constantly. We have noticed an increase in the issues with the stop bars missing at some of the locations along the bypass vehicles are not stopping in a position that the detector gets a call to the signals. this has been brought up with the province.
