Trash barrels still have not been emptied. The Garden Club and neighbors have been trying to keep up with the mess.

Someone put a big plastic bin there, which is not a bad idea... but it was placed right in front of the memorial plaque at the entrance. This is too much impact on the garden, when the source of the garbage is a restaurant(s) across the street (a lot of the trash is from Olmo).

This is the garden that Garden Club volunteers take on as a contribution to the City. Trash bins do nothing to keep trash away unless they are emptied on a regular basis. In these pandemic times, is the work force there to get it done. Olmo has trash collection on site and/or the food is taken away. I live a few blocks from there and I pick trash up every day (not from Olmo) as needed. I would think the Garden Club would do that here, too, and bag it and make a few calls about the bins. Thank God for places like Olmo which adds some dimension to these dreary times.

Trash receptacles seem to be emptied more often now, although the cold weather doesn't promote much eating of takeout in Phelps at the moment.
