Dead tree branches and trash blocking drainage where Northgate canal runs under Bow Creek Blvd

I have voiced this concern repeatedly to the City of Virginia Beach and I have received any feedback. This area backs up during heavy rain. This storm drain is in front of my direct neighbors curb. He has been tossing STUFF in the drains for many months.

i believe the sewage pipes and pump station running towards the ocean are not operating correctly. im not sure if it is something the city is doing or wm jordan is doing with 42 ocean condos but the ocean water is nasty centered around 43rd street. there are millions of dead bugs, leaves, trash, garbage, debris, yellow/green foam in the water! it has been like this for over a month, to the point where i will not swim in it or go to the beach. ive lived at the north end for 30+ years and never seen this for this long. i would really appreciate it if the city gave it some attention and take corrective action where necessary, thanks.

I submitted a request to the city July 5th regarding the drainage system being over grown and flooded with trash. I received a call saying they couldn't do anything about it but of course the reasons for the flooding the last couple of days is now a result. Asking for assistance again from the city to clear the drainage system before a real hurricane comes through and everyone's homes here get destroyed.

Under all these leaves is a storm drain. It needs to be cleaned out.
